    Just found you site and it all looks great! I came here after Googling Marchpane. I’m an absolutely terrible cook though; any tips for complete beginners?

    • Hi Rebecca – sorry not to respond sooner…but I do have some tips! I tried using whole almonds which I tried to grind myself. They ended up going oily and it was quite a mess, o I really recommend you get some ground almonds from the store and use those. It took me two attempts to get it right!

      My other tip is more general – get hold of a set of digital scales. They are not expensive, and it makes it so much easier to get your quantities right. American recipes using cups drive me crazy, as I like to know exactly how much flour/sugar/nuts I need to add to a recipe.
